Out with the old, in with the new

In order for a change to take place, action is necessary. And we need to accept the fact that it can take time. It is not the same for all people, though. One might need 2 weeks, another might need 2 months and so on. But the more committed we are the better and faster results we will obtain.
Let us not forget that what we are dealing with here is ourself and ourself only. And it is a common place, too, that if we want the world to change we have to change ourselves, first. Consequently, we need to change mindset. And that is a painstaking process and we will 'kick', in the meanwhile.
This action, in order to be as fruitful as possible, except commitment and patience, one needs to have a method; a method which represents YOU and through which you can have the results you wish for.
Solution
Hence, one way to change our mindset is through affirmations: sentences written, said or both, in order to start our mind 'walk' to the direction we want it to.
Say, you want to stop eating beyond a certain point. You can say to yourself, write or both: 'I can stop eating now. I feel full and satiated and I can go for a walk (or ewad a book, or phone a friens or play with my pet etc.).
BUT, the affirmation has to be tailor-made for your psyche: thee are some rules, of course, but the bottom line is this: if when you say that sentence, you feel that your body or mind or both 'refuses' then you need to change the sentence to one that it is accepted by your body/mind.
Out with the old, in with the new self.
