How Easy Is It To Change For The Better?

Well, it is not an easy road. You will have to make many adjustments and attempts. It is possible but not easy.


Take this example: say, you want to run a mile in four minutes and thirty seconds. But say, that you have a strong motivation for that. Many people say, 'I'll go to the gym' and they never go. Or they go for a week or a month and that's it. They lack motivation.


But let's say you want that very much for some reason. Is it doable in the same day? It's not. So, what will you do? You will start immediately practising: you will make a schedule of daily practice, nutrition, you will sleep as best and as adequate as you can and you will use your mind, too, because it is the mind that tells the body what to do.


So, you will have that vision of your goal. And that will give you the encouragement and the will to carry on. You will not stop trying and practising until you reach that goal, which you want very much.


It is the same with our mind: you can't expect it to change in a day. People visit the therapist and - as if the therapist has a magic wand or a magic recipe - they expect to feel better after the first session. Or if the therapist tells them to do their mental homework, they quit. But in order to feel better with ourselves we need to change our beliefs and attitudes. And that is not done in an afternoon. You will have to work for it.


But if you have the right guidance and encouragement it will be fun!
